And The Winner Goes To…

July 20, 2007 by Munky

It has been a week since I last visited Proudly Pinoy website. And now it’s time to see who won the logo design competition.

First up, I’d like to say that it has been an honor joining the competition.

Now, the winner for this competition is no other than.

Entry #64 by XYJ

I am quite astonished that the logo made by XYJ won. Not really what I hoped for. I was really betting on VGRAFIK’s Entry #61.

Judges’ Comments: This logo has it all. It is perfectly balanced, has excellent visual impact, yet remains elegant and graceful. The Filipino identity is immediately obvious. The message is fairly clear - one gets a sense of warmth and caring, and love, which, unlike in other nations, are attributes that are considered more important in the Philippines than any other character trait. Hence the logo superbly expresses what makes us proud to be Filipinos.

Anyways, my 3rd entry managed to land in the runners-up … teehee not what I expected either.

MUNKY, who also submitted two other strong contenders, made a logo that is, in terms of color balance, the best of the bunch, but had the drawback of extending the immediate surrounding space far into 3D, whereas most websites are designed on a 2D level.

Congratulations to XYJ for winning the competition.

Now, the question begins… Will you put it on your website? Hmmm… *sits-on-thinking-chair*

  1. Congrats! Even if you didn’t actually win, your design is simply outstanding. Is it OK to use it on my blog and link your site on the image design? I like the #4 logo.
